Tax rules and rates change constantly, and they vary based on what and where these businesses sell. If they ignore these complexities, they risk paying penalties and interest on top of uncollected taxes.

We are building Stripe Tax to handle this complexity automatically. The product provides precise location detection, supports over 600 product tax categories, validates tax IDs, and handles everything from automated calculations to reporting - all through a simple API or dashboard interface.

Working closely with our tax experts and engineering teams, I am helping design interfaces that make complex tax compliance feel simple and intuitive.
